Devicepro ® controls the interface to portable media devices allowing users to benefit from the advantages of mobile media, without risking the loss of data or the introduction of malware. DevicePro® enables you to determine which mobile storage media is allowed in your network, which ports may be used and what file types can be imported from or exported to external media. Real-time management, flexible access settings, and full support for mobile users ensure a high degree of acceptance among users.

	Permission changes are effective immediately, even if the user is located outside the corporate network.
	All file movements are recorded, allowing you to easily meet with legal or internal compliance requirements.
	Seamless integration with different directories avoids duplication of efforts in the definition of users and user groups for access control lists and reduces the configuration and maintenance needs.
	An XML-interface enables device access permissions to be granted from within your normal helpdesk solution with its already defined approval processes.

	Flexible device access permissions based on device types, device models or individual devices.
	Data transmission restricted to white listed file types or excluding blacklisted file types.
	Overview reports and change logs: information on permissions, device access, data transfer, blocked access attempts, etc. can be evaluated, analyzed, and exported.
	Password-protected (multiple passwords may be required) access to detailed logs with filtering and sorting options.
	Changes requests by user will be channeled to a ticketing system that executes the change request at a mouse click.

The following devices are supported by DeviceProÂ®:
Floppy Disc, CD/DVD, USB Mass Storage, SD/MMC cards, Infrared, Bluetooth, WiFi, PDA, Blackberry, ISDN cards, Modem, Printers, Scanners, Digital Cameras, Audio, Video and Game Controller, etc.

The following ports are supported by DeviceProÂ®:
FireWire, Parallel Port, Serial Port, PCMCIA cards, USB ports, etc.

System Requirements

Apart from a SQL database (the free MSDE or SQL Server 2005 Express edition are fully sufficient), there is no additional software required, such as the IIS Server or .NET client. Consequently, no new vulnerabilities are introduced by installing additional back office software and memory and CPU utilization is minimal.
