OVERVIEW OF MERCUR's
Email-to-Fax Gateway |
 |
Sending fax
messages using predefined profiles |
|
With predefined profiles, you can define which kind of
messages shall be accepted by the gateway and forwarded by
fax. The gateway uses special filters to select in-coming
messages and forward it to predefined or automatically
determined fax numbers. |
 |
Receiving fax
messages to forward by Email |
|
|
In receive mode, the
gateway gets fax messages from conventional fax
devices and converts these messages to MIME coded
Email messages. |
|
 |
Use of
templates |
|
The individual fax profiles use predefined fax templates.
The templates are text files within formatted text elements.
Specific fields (e.g. originator address) can be
integrated by variables into the fax document. |
 |
Support for
analogue Modems and ISDN boards |
|
The gateway support Standard Class 2 analogue modems and
ISDN boards to transmit fax messages. If you use a ISDN
board, you need to consider that this board supports the
T.30 protocol. |
 |
Detailed
Event-Logging |
|
The MERCUR Email-to-Fax Gateway contains an extensive set of
protocol functions that controls all events on the mail
server. The event-log provides information on possible
errors and data transfer confirmations. |
