Norwegian security company
Norman ASA has signed an agreement with the Slovenian
Ministry of Education and Sports. Norman Virus Control
was chosen after a test period that involved five
different antivirus vendors.
According to the contract Norman will provide antivirus
protection for 25 000 computers until the end of 2007.
The agreement was closed through Norman’s distributor
Faeton Ltd, company that has already distributed Norman
Virus Control to more than 850 different educational
institutions under the Ministry of Education.
- Norman Virus Control was chosen as the best solution
out of five different solutions. That clearly proves our
capacity and ability to detect and remove viruses and
other malware. Slovenia and other Eastern-European
markets are important to us and this agreement is part
our strategy of European expansion, says VP
International Operations Francois Tschachtli in Norman
International.
Norman’s international headquarter is located in
Switzerland as part of the European expansion strategy.
Faeton Ltd. has already been distributing Norman
products in Slovenia and Croatian for seven years and
points out the high quality of Norman products.
- This agreement is an important recognition for
top-level quality of Norman products and the excellent
service of the Norman staff, says general manager of
Faeton Ltd, Aljaz Prosen.
