The Norwegian IT-security company announces the appointment of Trygve Aasland as new CEO. Aasland (41) was previously a director at Tandberg ASA.

Trygve Aasland succeeds Henning Hansen as the new CEO of Norman ASA. He has considerable experience from marketing and sales in the IT industry. His latest position included the development of Tandberg’s market positioning in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Previously, he was Tandberg’s regional director for Asia and Northern Europe and has also worked within international shipping. Trygve Aasland holds a Master of Management degree from the Norwegian School of Management (BI).

“Trygve Aasland has solid international management experience and a good record of establishing new markets and creating growth in Europe and Asia. These qualifications will be vital for Norman’s future success, with over 70 percent of our sales generated outside Norway," comments Svein R. Goli, Chairman of Norman.

Norman is a dynamic and exciting company which I look forward to developing further. Norman is one of the few Norwegian IT companies that has been able to succeed also internationally and there are ample opportunities for further growth," comments Trygve Aasland. He will take up his new position as Norman’s CEO this coming month.
