announcing a new version (4.2) of its popular email
security gateway - Norman Email Protection (NEP). NEP is
an antispam, antivirus and antiphising solution
protecting at the perimeter of the network. For most
organisations a clean and healthy email system is vital
for operating their businesses. With 80 % of all malware
spreading through emails, the need for efficient
protection is highly prevalent. As an answer to this
needs Norman has improved the functions of its software
solution with the release of this latest version of NEP.
Norman Email Protection is a secure email management
solution that filters all emails that are accepted into
the network. The new version of this secure email
solution has several new features that increase your
security.
Some of the most important improvements are that we are
providing a new monitoring database and that we are will
provide you with some key tools for alerts about system
health, current email connections, email processing
statistics and several options for generating reports.

The new version of Norman Email Protection offers
improved antispam technologies, such as a modified
predictive SCA engine code that reduces the number of
false positives in order to give the user legitimate
emails that are mass-sent.
