The independent magazine Virus Bulletin (VB) has in its June edition granted Norman with yet another 100 % award for its antivirus solution - Norman Virus Control for Windows XP.

Virus Bulletin performs tests on leading antivirus products from several IT-vendors every month. The June edition test proved that Norman Virus Control qualified for a 100 % award. The test report states that no false positives were detected and that Norman’s latest antivirus product with the proactive SandBox solution has earned a VB 100 % award.

- This is a sign of quality and recognition and we are pleased to see that Norman Virus Control qualifies for this award as many of our previous products have done earlier, says VP marketing and business development Audun Lødemel at Norman ASA.

Norman SandBox, a proactive technology that stops new and unknown viruses, is implemented in all of Norman’s antivirus products. The SandBox is not dependant on traditional signature based technology. This makes it possible to prevent virus attacks at an early stage. Norman is the only company to have this unique technology.

Norman has now been granted with 100 % VB Awards 27 times.
