Norman Antivirus Solution to Enhance NetIQ’s Suite of Content Security Products
 

SAN JOSE, Calif. Dec. 21, 2004 NetIQ Corp. (Nasdaq: NTIQ), a leading provider of Systems & Security Management and Web Analytics solutions, and Norman ASA, a Norwegian-based data security company specializing in antivirus and Internet security technologies, announced today a technology and distribution agreement.

Under the agreement, NetIQ will include Norman’s proactive antivirus solution into a future version of NetIQ’s suite of Content Security products, which includes NetIQ MailMarshal SMTP, NetIQ MailMarshal for Exchange and NetIQ WebMarshal. By incorporating Norman Virus Control with NetIQ’s suite of Content Security products, customers will be able to prevent viruses and malicious software, along with other unwanted email, from entering their organization at the gateway with an integrated solution. Norman was selected by NetIQ due to Norman SandBox, its innovative zero day attack technology, and proven track record for consistently detecting, blocking and removing new viruses as they are discovered.
