A new test of antivirus
programs conducted by the well-respected magazine Virus
Bulletin (VB) awards Norman Virus Control another 100%
award. Every second month VB tests the market leading
antivirus products’ performance running on different
operating systems. In the latest test the products are
tested on Microsoft Windows 2003 server.
The VB 100% award means that Norman Virus Control
managed to detect all viruses in the "In the Wild" test
set used. Norman’s products have been awarded 100%
several times previously, including for Windows 2000, NT
and XP, as well as for Novell Netware. This latest test
is the first one for Windows 2003.
"A rapidly increasing number of corporations are running
Windows 2003. It is therefore of course imperative that
antivirus programs are functioning optimally in this
environment", says Torstein Harildstad, Managing
Director for Servers and Operating systems, Microsoft
Norway. "It is comforting that Norman Virus Control has
a full score in this test", he adds.
