Norman Data Defense
Systems, announces that Norman Virus Control v 5.6
received top ratings in two independent computer
magazines. The Dutch computer magazine; “Computer!Totaal”,
owned by IDG, awarded Norman Virus Control with “Best in
test”, in their antivirus client test. The Belgian
“DataNews” awarded Norman Virus Control with “Best Buy” in
their antivirus networking test.
Computer!Totaal and Data News selected Norman among
several other antivirus software on the basis of
performance and price.
In addition Computer!Totaal tested Norman SandBox version
2 and found it excellent in performance and detection.
The technique and functionalities of Norman SandBox v2
enable detection of viruses and worms before signature
files have been released. The simulation of computer
environments to detect unknown malicious software,
protects the users at an earlier stage than ever before.
The Norman SandBox v2 technology represents a milestone in
non-signature based detection of new, unknown viruses and
worms.
"We are very pleased to receive these best-in-class
awards," says President and CEO, Henning Hansen at Norman
ASA. "These awards are yet another confirmation of
Norman’s strong products in the antivirus security market.
BeNeLux is an important market for Norman Data Defens
Systems and we therefore appreciate very much Norman Virus
Control’s recognition in this market”.
